The Kenneth T Mockalis Fund was created in 2009 to honor Kenny’s memory. During his
time at Merrimack College Kenny derived a tremendous amount of pride through his affiliation
with the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Founded in 1899 Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) has
over 274
Chapters and well over 240,000 members worldwide. During his tenure
at Merrimack College
Ken held multiple positions of leadership within the
organization serving as Sgt at Arms and Chapter Educator among others.
The goal of TKE is to “Maker Better Men”. Men are made better through teaching,
responsibility, philanthropy and camaraderie. Kenny took full advantage of his
experience and enhanced the experience of younger students through his unique
brand of mentorship. This desire to help others culminated in Kenny’s final position within
the Fraternity as an alumni- Chapter Advisor.
The Kenneth T Mockalis Fund is Kenny’s final
way to give back to those he volunteered his time to help guide. Kenny’s experience at
Merrimack College and within Tau Kappa Epsilon left an indelible impression on his life. To honor his legacy a deserving member of Tau Kappa Epsilon at Merrimack College
will receive a Scholarship in Kenny’s name each year. The recipient of this Scholarship
will be selected by the Local Chapter’s Board of Advisors and will be the student who
most epitomizes the ideals of Love, Charity and Esteem- the three main virtues of a TKE.
